Replacement and maintenance of crawler board of excavator

October 21,2022

In front of the excavator walking system is the guide wheel, which is supported by a tensioning oil cylinder, and the oil cylinder is fillethd with butter. Buttering pushes the guide wheel forward, which lengthens the grounding length of the crawler belt and tightens the crawler belt.

Excavator track plate replacement

Check the rollers, guide wheels, external links and track shoes, and replace them on time in case of great wear.

Maintenance of crawler board of excavator:

The walking part of excavator is composed of supporting sprocket, supporting roller, driving wheel and chain links, etc. After running for a certain time, these parts will wear to a certain extent. However, if you pay attention to daily maintenance, as long as you spend a little time on proper maintenance, you can avoid “major operation on the leg of excavator” in the future. It can not only save you money for maintenance, but also avoid the delay of construction period due to maintenance.
Point 1: If you repeatedly walk on the inclined ground for a long time and suddenly turn, the side of the chain link will contact with the side of the driving wheel and the guide wheel, thus increasing the wear degree. Therefore, you should avoid walking in an inclined area and suddenly turning as much as possible. Straight line and big turn can effectively prevent wear and tear.
The second point: if part of the idler wheel and the roller wheel are used continuously in the state that they cannot run, it may cause the roller to be worn off, and at the same time, it may also cause the rail link to be worn. If an inoperable roller is found, it must be repaired immediately! In this way, other faults can be avoided.
The third point: the roller, supporting sprocket mounting bolts , crawler plate bolts, driving wheel mounting bolts, walking pipe bolts, etc. are easily loosened due to vibration after the machine works for a long time. For example, if the machine continues to run when the bolts of the track shoe are loose, it may even lead to the gap between the track shoe and the bolts, which will lead to the cracks of the track shoe. Moreover, the gap may also enlarge the bolt hole between the crawler belt and the chain link, resulting in the serious consequence that the crawler belt and the chain link cannot be fastened and must be replaced. Therefore, the bolts and nuts should be inspected and tightened regularly to reduce unnecessary maintenance costs.
